In Mediterranean culture charcoal grey has always been seen as a hostile colour and and perhaps we are a little scared of choosing this dark colour for our homes. Design and architecture in dark colours could have negative effects on the light in the space, but if balanced and and harmonized with other colours, it can create an elegant and modern effect.
However, be careful not to go over the top: too much of a dark colour makes an interior seem smaller. It is perfect if used for a few details or accessories. The best combination is charcoal grey with white and wood. In this way you get colour effects which are high quality and elegant.
